However the latest Battlefield is hoping to change that.
Here comes the latest entry in a long-running military shooter series frequently described as a more authentic response to its main competitor.
This game has not quite been able to match its most famous opponent in terms of revenue or gamers, but indicators suggest the latest version could reduce the distance.
A preview session enabling players a shot to test the release in recent months set new benchmarks, and the excitement heading into its release has been immense.

"The complete method has been a fresh take but also really thrilling because we are collaborating with individuals from all over the world."
Concerning the expectation on the team, the director states: "We experience demand but at the same time it's motivating.
"We're dealing with a big project. It's arguably the most significant that most of us have ever been involved in."
Emerging Talent Brings Fresh Perspective
That's certainly correct of no less than a single team member, lighting artist the artist.
The 21-year-old creates the visual ambiance that shape the atmosphere, style, and focus of the single-player campaign.
Vlad undertook an internship at the developer preceding obtaining a position at the company, and now is employed part-time while finishing his visual effects degree at Bournemouth University.
