Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are urging that a person who leaped a fence and grabbed the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage reveals the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet surrounded by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being detained", though legal records revealed that he was due to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile features recordings of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user wrote.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Many followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented one more message on Instagram.

Several attendees also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while some demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Event Details

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Many of attendees had assembled in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The film, to be launched on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual version of the popular Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising relationship between two very different characters.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of last year in the UK, and earned 10 Oscar nominations, securing two for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
